About

Greetings.  Welcome to my small section of the web.  I’m a 26 year old IT specialist from Wichita Falls, TX.  I’m currently employed as a Helpdesk Analyst at the Wichita Falls ISD and run QWERTYtech.

A little about me

I’ve lived in Wichita Falls my entire life.  I’ve completed my entire K-12 life through the local public school system and I have also graduated from the local state college.  I attended Midwestern State University (MWSU) from August 2001 to May 2007 when I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Computers Information Systems (BCIS or more commonly known as MIS/MIT).

I’ve professionally worked in the IT field for about 3 years now but have been tinkering with PCs for almost 13 years.  My infatuation with PCs came from my grandfather whom is still active in the IT field.  I’ve had the pleasure of working for HelpSource and Wichita Falls ISD.  I worked with HelpSource for about 2 years while finishing my degree at MWSU.  During my last semester of school I accepted my current job at the WFISD.

I’ve been married for 5 years now.  My beautiful wife and I enjoy spending time outside enjoying nature and taking pictures.  We recently purchased our first DSLR and have been enjoying it a lot.  We also like to spend time with our friends/neighbors, going to Dallas Stars hockey games, and watching our favorite TV shows.  We currently have way to many show to list them all but I can say that we are couch potatoes almost every night.

History of QWERTYtech

I first started QWERTYtech in 2006 while attending college.  At the time I worked for Best Buy and would occasionally help out Geek Squad when I could.  After doing that for a while and seeing how much they charged, I decided to start my own company.

The name QWERTYtech came from a couple of my friends and myself chit chatting one night.  We started throwing name around while watching TV.  The original name was QWERTY Technologies but I thought it was a little long, so we shortened it to QWERTYtech.  QWERTY originated from one of my computer classes and learning the history of PCs which taught me that our standard keyboard was called a QWERTY keyboard.  The tech is pretty evident.  I just shortened Technologies to make it a little more easier to remember.
